Jeremy Henderson - Expectation and Unease

Born in Enniskillen, Jeremy Henderson began his studies at the University of Ulster before completing them in London.  Having established himself as an artist of wide critical acclaim, he moved back to Fermanagh and set up a studio.

Jeremy Henderson’s richly coloured paintings are an intuitive response to the Fermanagh landscape. While conveying the spirit of the countryside, the works are layered with mood and meaning, creating a sense of unease or expectation. Describing his work, Jeremy Henderson said:  ‘the time of day is indeterminable, the weather changeable, something has happened or is about to happen’. The titles of Jeremy Henderson’s paintings reflect his love of language and reveal much about his inspiration. To discover works in other collections by Jeremy Henderson, visit Art UK
