This is a badge which would be worn by someone in the Ulster Volunteer Force. The force formally constituted in Jan 1913 as part of the campaign against home rule. Its members were to be recruited from those loyalists who had signed the covenant. In Fermanagh the UVF training ground was in Castle Hume.
