Width: 67cm
This is the earliest painting by William Scott belonging to Fermanagh County Museum.
‘Flowers’ was painted when William and his wife Mary stayed in Pont Aven, Brittany. The Scotts lived in France until the outbreak of the Second World War when they had to leave quickly. Paintings from this period are rare due to the fact that many had to be left in France and were subsequently lost.
