Caption

Group photograph taken in the grounds of the Manor House Hotel, Killadeas. The elected members of the Council are all dressed up and ready to go! Within each department in Taylor-Woods, a member was elected for the ‘Works Council’ to represent their fellow colleagues. Members of the Works Council represented their respective areas of work. They addressed staff issues and grievances felt by other employees. An election was held annually to vote for representatives on the Works Council. Works Council members met on a regular basis to discuss problems and issues within the Hosiery and Lingerie factories.
