Postcard of George Noble Count Plunkett, F.S.A. George was a papal count and curator of the National Museum. He is featured on the card because of his sons' interest in Irish Nationalism, notably his son, Joseph Mary Plunkett. Joseph was a leader of the 1916 Easter Rising. Following surrender he was executed by firing squad at the age of 28.
