This postcard produced in the aftermath of the Easter Rising shows John F. McEntee. John was amongst others from Louth who were arrested for supporting the Rising in Dublin. John was charged with the murder of Charles Magee of RIC and the attempted murder of Lt. Dunville at Castlebellingham, taking part in armed Rebellion in Ireland & waging war against the King. His Sentence was to be court martialled & sentenced to death. This sentence was later commuted to penal servitude.
