Portrait of Mrs George Tottenham (née Emily Frances Maclean) and her eldest son, Ponsonby John Loftus Tottenham, who is aged around 5-8 years, wearing a hat and holding a wicker basket. Emily Frances Maclean married Rev. George Tottenham on 27 January 1858. Together, along with Emily's sister Lizzie Maclean, they set up Inishmacsaint Lace. There were three sons who lived to adulthood, Ponsonby (1858-1927), Cornwallis George Loftus (1864-1945) and Edward (1867 - 1949).
