The Inter-Art Company, based in London, was well-known for its comic propaganda postcards printed during the First World War using artists. This cartoon is by Donald McGill (1875-1962). On reverse is a handwritten message addressed to "Mrs Cathcart, Blaney, Enniskillen, Ireland". It reads: "Just to let you know I am quite well . I shall write on Sunday and send a photo. Weather still keeping fearfully (?) warm here. Had a letter from Anne a few days ago. Hoping you are all well. N." Posted from 'Canterbury, June 11 6pm 1915.
