This tweed sample and order book was used by Henderson & Eadie Woollen Mill. By the 1950s, Henderson & Eadie was supplying leading fashion houses in Paris with tweed, and had employed a renowned Norwegian textile designer, Gerd Hay-Edie, to design contemporary throw rugs. Gerd Hay-Edie established her own hand weaving studio, Mourne Textiles, near Rostrevor, County Down, in 1954. Today, the studio continues to produce contemporary hand woven textiles inspired by Gerd's original designs.
