Boxed Assemblage

This box is a dedication to Scott's grandparents, in particular his grandma. His granddad died in his early 50s; he never met him but heard much about him. Scott stayed with grandma all summer each year during his childhood and caught a glimpse of the last century, and the attitudes of the last century. The hardship and love. Scott's mother was one of 13 children, with each child being shipped to England to find work after their 16th birthday, having been purchased a one-way boat ticket. Our ancestors deserve respect and remembrance; their hard earned place in history must be recorded. (Information provided by the artist to Noelle McAlinden)
