Mavis Thomson has exhibited extensively throughout the island of Ireland and her work is represented in many national and international public collections. Born in Omagh, Mavis Thomson has made her home in Enniskillen. A Senior Royal Ulster Academician, she is also a member of the Ulster Watercolour Society, The Turner Society, London, as well as being a past member of the Watercolour Society of Ireland and a life member of the Ulster Society of Women Artists. Mavis Thomson’s driftwood constructions and watercolour paintings are represented in Fermanagh County Museum's collections. To view other collections with works by the artist, visit Art UK's website. Nearly all the sculptural pieces have accompanying verses; 21 examples have been recorded in a recent publication, "Coloured Thoughts".
